Default how to identify a 2010 track pack

hey all i picked up my 2010 mustang used about a year ago. there was no info on the widdow sticker about options the car had. the dealer said it was a track pack pony. but i have no way of telling since the car came with the fr3 suspension pack ang gt500 wheels/tires. i was just wondering if there was a number in the vin# i could look for or on the door tag.

thanks

track pack cars had 19" wheels, strut tower brace, and no spoiler. among other things, the no spoiler is the only way i know to tell. I am 98% sure the track pack came only with spoiler delete in 10. it also had special compound brake pads and summer performance tires. Basically if the car has a spoiler and doesnt have the 19" wheels with summer compounds tires its not a track pack car. with your having aftermarket wheels look for the spoiler. FWIW the track pack cars arent really worth anything more than any others so it realyl doent matter once the car is modded. the 10 track pack had nothing particuarly special about it other than adding different dampers, which arent as good as many of the after market options. My car was the 3.73 pack and it had everythign the track pack offered but the summer tires. I THINK the track pack cars may have had a slightly different rear end/locker thingy I forget the name of the part that keeps one wheel from spinnign out of a corner right now

hmmm, then the only way i guess woudl be to check the axle ratio, the track pack had 3.73's. you coudl get a 3.73 pack withtou the track pack, which si what my car is. If the little sticker on teh rear diff says anything other than 3.73 you dont have a track pack (but it coudl be the 3.73 pack car) And does it have a strut tower bar? track pack cars and the 19" wheel pack cars did.

The tires and rear sway bar are probably the easiest ways to ID a track pack car. The FR3 package also added sway bars though. On the drivers side door jamb there will be a sticker warning about the tires not intended for use below 40 degrees... I just looked at my window sticker, it's clearly listed as an option, "trackpack".

Perhaps looking for the dual-piston front calipers would be your best bet? Can anyone confirm the GTs without trackpack didn't have dual-piston fronts?

The upgrades you get from the track pack are well worth the price tag. It's a $1500 addition. The tires alone are $1200+. You probably could have gotten the same results from just a track pack car and aftermarket lowering springs though.

You can get a copy of your window sticker by modifying this link by adding your VIN at the end:

Code:
http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=YOUR-VIN-HERE
This is a list I found back when I was purchasing my car.

Track Pack 2 included the following:
3.73 gears, Limited-slip differential
Dual-piston front calipers with performance brake pads
GT-500 Front and rear anti-roll bars
GT-500 Rear lower trailing links
GT-500 Front upper strut mounts
Unique set of dampers
Strut tower brace
19 inch aluminum wheels
Pirelli P Zero summer performance tires 255/40ZR
Recalibrated stability control

the 3.73 pack cars have the same calipers and pads. the door jam sticker is probably the best way, didnt know they had those.
