Shoulda searched here first for the strategy, I found the answer, but it still doesn't help me figure out if there is a non stock tune already flashed.

Well, it's been about a week since I sent an e-mail to AM on their website. I have not heard back. I sent another today, still waiting.

I'm bringing this one back for an update (I know, after a year, really?). So after hearing back from Ryan at AM, he offered a lot of info regarding the Xcal2. I determined there was nothing more than a stock tune on my GT.

A few issues popped up over the last year with the car (including a wreck that required pretty much a new rear suspension, yeah, I'm dumb). Everything is back to normal, so I finally pulled the trigger on tunes for life from AM. I went back and forth with getting an X3 or sticking with the Xcal. In the end, the Xcal won since I already had it and it would save $$$. $150 vs $380.

My only issue with it now is, WHY THE HELL DID I NOT DO THIS THE DAY I BOUGHT THE CAR!!!!!!

Talk about waking the car up, and I haven't tried the 91 Race tune yet. AM's service was outstanding too. From the time I submitted my order, I had 3 tune files in my inbox in just under 2 hours. Those guys are amazing!

And so it begins, more go fast parts needed!

I hate to say that, if you had used the search on CAI & tunes on the forum, that we told you so. A CAI & tune is the first recommended mod for anyone that asks... or uses the search engine and reads.

I used the search extensively, and never doubted it was what I needed to do, it was just a matter of pulling the trigger and convincing the wife I needed it. I've been around forums and Mustangs long enough to know at least that much.

I had that problem before. I ditched wife #1 (who had to be convinced that I could spend money on my hobbies) and found wife #2 (who encourages me to spend money on my hobbies).

If you need help with that, I know some muscle with the mob...
