So this is kind of confusing but my mustang has a slp gt 500 catted x pipe. sounds kind of weird I know, the place I ordered from screwed up and accidentally sent me the gt 500 x pipe instead of the normal gt x pipe and I wasn't home when all this took place so I didn't notice until the muffler shop called me and told me but it was no big deal, it's on now. I don't mind the only problem is does anybody know any headers that will fit besides the gt 500 slp headers? I was told maybe the bbk headers with some minor adjustments. Any input would be great. GT-500 headers will not fit a 4.6, you're dealing with different exhaust ports not to mention the 5.4L deck height is taller so the GT500 headers will sit lower and they wont bolt up. You have a butchered exhaust system. Save up and get long tubes which come with mid pipe and eliminate all your problems. American Racing headers are the best out there.
