Default AFR and Boost gauges?

I'm ordering the M90 with the VMP 500HP kit.

Do I need to do gauges?

Am I okay with only boost or should I do AFR also?

Is it better to go with mechanical or electrical gauges? Seems like electrical would be easier to route into cabin.

If I did have to put AFR in, do I need separate O2 sensor or can I piggyback off the factory sensor without tripping a MIL light?

Which mount is best for the '10 interior?

I will only add the gauges if I really should..... What is best advice?

Thanks guys!

Most people will tell you to get a wideband. I would run a wideband, boost gauge, and an aeroforce interceptor.

The only one you absolutely need with boost is a wideband. It will let you know if you are having problems before your engine goes boom. If you don't want to spring for a good wideband (they aren't cheap), then fuel pressure would be my second choice. Most people running a blower have a boost guage, but it isn't really necessary. It's just fun to be able to "see" your boost. I have an SOS three guage pillar with wideband, fuel pressure and boost guage, but I really think that anyone can get by with just a wideband.

Agreed, the wideband is by far the most important. I do like the scan gauges however I didn't integrate them into my car at the time. The boost gauge really doesn't buy you much in a supercharger application because your boost is directly tied to your crankshaft speed. That said, I do have one because it is more of a visual thing.

I have boost, AFR, fuel pressure. I keep my eyes on the AFR way more than the others.

Wideband is the most important. Buy a kit. Comes with whatever you need.

I run these three as well. Wideband is a must, everything else is fluff, but fun fluff. All three are simple to install. I have a mechanical boost. Aeroforce just plugs into the obI port. Wideband is a simple install as well. Having a spare bung in my longtubes made it easy. I look at the wideband all the time, it tells me what's going on in the motor. SOS gauge pod is the bomb too.
