While tightening my B & M quick shifter I broke the threaded shaft that comes off of the linkage arm that connects to the transmission. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can I take this arm off without lowering the transmission? Is this arm the same for all 05-09 tranies? Hoping to maybe find a used one as when I called Tousley ford they said I have to buy the entire shifter with linkage. Also if someone has a diagram of our transmission that would be helpful as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am also trying to find the shifter linkage arm. my only way to get one without spending 400 from the stealership is to go to a junk yard that has a wrecked mustang and get the part off of it.

When working on the shift linkage on these cars, the torque wrench is your friend.

Yea, i went to the junk yard full of wrecked cars, saw a v8 s197 and got the arm off of it.
