Default C&L Performance Intake Manifold

Anyone have this, worth it? Opinions? Would you suggest the Ford intake over C&L?
Currently mods related: Back to O/R pipe when I get emissions, CAI and tuner.

I see it also deletes the charge motion plates, that's a plus. Then again, charge plates state 10HP. This intake states 11-14HP... reality, only gaining 3-4 HP additional HP considering they're built in? Or am I thinking too much.

Plan to get blower next year, of course I would only get this if I get the vortec. Still thinking; m90/vortec

I believe the aftermarket intakes are suggested if you've already done cams/long tubes and can pull the extra air through them. Otherwise, on an almost stock engine like your's, I think it's pretty much in the same ballpark as the aftermarket throttle bodies...pointless.

The Ford intake is half the weight of the C&L, considerably cheaper, and from charts I've seen, very similar in performance.

I do plan LT'S and Cams before blower install. So it may be worth it.

The plastic intake can flow 900hp. why tamper with something that is already golden. do the CMDPs. You get the same results my friend. The only advantage I can see to an all aluminum intake would be the ability to ice it down at the track.
