lol why? They're a conjoined company now, and they have the EXACT same issues with their superchargers

I don't think Pro-charger has the same issues though.. they do have a dedicated belt arm tensioner thingy on their kits. Not sure if it makes a difference or not, but they do NOT carry the same warnings and they DO honor their warranty IF failure was under 25 degrees. I spoke with them about this at length, but I suspect the same issues since their housing is also aluminum as is the Vortech/Paxton...

Good luck.. been there, done that. No dice.

If you have winter issues, I'd suggest a twin screw with two sets of pulleys.

5 psi for winter (less boost) and 8 or 10 psi for summer...

I am certain ALL centri's have the same issue, regardless of manufacture. Internally, I do NOT see any differences between them in basic terms.

ok bro, brenspeed said don't worry about it, it's a matter of letting the car warm up a while. they also said there have lots of customers in Alaska that run these kits without issues.

Let us know how it turns out

I trust Brenspeed but not over Vortech themselves...

Lol, I am thinking of just finding a beater car n drive that, cause honestly I don't want to risk it, I just shelled out close to 5 grand for the damn thing, with my luck the v3 will explode first cold start.

At least it doesn't get into the negative digits there (??)

I felt the same way when I discovered the horror about the V3 and winter myself.. I almost went with a winter beater, but decided to just take the damned thing off.

I am a pro at it and can do it with my eyes closed now rofl

I chatted with a fellow on another site that drove his through 2 NY winters. He ended up replacing internal components after the second winter. It made a metallic clanging noise and it through a bearing or something. Not sure if Vortech covered it or not..

vortech probably didn't. I am not as mechanacly inclined as you lol, so I won't be taking it off, most likely beater car and just won't start the car under 40 degrees f

Hell you would figure maybe vortech could include a warming blanket or something that would work anywhere you went, somehow. Oh well looks like they got me!
