Default Had my car dynoed on a Mustang Dyno, alot lower than Dynojet. So are these good #'S?

I pulled 432 rwhp at 6300 rpms at 9.6lbs boost and 389 ft lbs torque at 5000 rpms at 9.3 lbs boost. My A/F was close to 11.0 from 3300 rpms and up 6000 and 10.5 from 6000 to 6300. it was 12.0 starting at 2000 rpms.

I know it is a little rich, but the car has 50,000 miles on it and I wanted to be a little richer than leaner. I may bring it to 11.3 and 11.0.

Weird thing is that my guage NEVER goes under 11.2 and I have a brand new Innovate MTX and it is calibrated correctly. Don't understand how the shop wideband showed that much richer. My gauge is reading .5 leaner than the shops wideband across the board.

Anyway, are these good numbers for a Kenne Bell lc with a ford racing throttle body, 9.6 boost, Afco intercooler and 1 piece driveshaft(yeah right 15rwhp)?

Most people's numbers on here are from a dynojet or other dyno.

Thanks!

So I just did some searching and found that the Mustang Dyno can be 8% to 12% off from the Dynojet.

So 432 /.9 = 480rwhp and 389 /.9 = 432 ftlbs.

I got 471 rwhp and 417 ft lbs tq on the Dynojet before retuning the car, the one piece driveshaft and swapping the Kenne Bell Stage II Throttle Body for a Ford Racing TB. So it could be the same to better than before.

The closed looped/driveablity is amazing now though. So I am feeling better...

I have witnessed the mustangdyno show numbers 20% lower than the dynojet (same cars, same boost, same day). 500 rear wheel on one machine was 400 on the other. The proof is at the dragstrip.

Agreed. And numbers not only change from a mustang dyno to dynojet, but from any one dyno to another. I've had my car on two dynojets since I moved up to 12psi. With no mods that would affect RWHP between trips to these two dynos, I saw a difference of 40rwhp. It also matters how the tuner calibrates the dyno. I also don't make a habit of getting on the dyno just to get numbers. If I'm on the dyno, it's because I need tuning. The only numbers that matter are on the time slips.

+1

Even multiple sequential pulls can yield surprising variance on occassion. I think you're #s are good.

Numbers are for show Queens, as long as the curves are clean and the air/fuel ratio is good and straight then you're good.

+1 Dyno's are just a tuning tool, the numbers don't mean anything really. Take it to the track and see what she turns. That is the only way to tell how much HP you are really making. My setup only showed 507 hp and 466 TQ at 15# of boost. This is a very conservative tune for every day use. I didn't want something on the edge that would burn a piston if I got a bad load of gas.

I brought it to get dynoed just to make sure my a/f ratios were good from boost up to 6300 rpms. I have a wideband, but I wanted a full range with boost readings as well.

I had used a dynojet before and I saw a big drop off. Based on what I am seeing I have believe I have increases all around.

The car feels better, pulls better, doesn't pop every time I let off the gas, bleeds down in neutral correctly and is right at 12.0 from 1600 rpms to 10.5 at 6300 rpms.

It is smooth curve up to 6000. I am going to lean out just a little at 6000 to 6300 where it goes from 11.0 to 10.5, although I like the idea of being rich at the upper rpms.

(I wish I had a track around here...)

Thanks for the feedback.
