Intake Manifold?
#21
Any aftermarket intake manifold that delete the CMCV system is going to require a tune. You will also want to get a tune for the LTs to see the full benefits from them. I dont know if there is a FRPP tune for the intake manifold.

I went with the ford intake because it's much lighter than the C&L aluminum one (I had the C&L one as it came out a little earlier). Also mine doesn't flex at all. I did the hot rod cams, intake manifold & throttle body at the same time. My car sounds awesome and runs like a bat out of hell.

However if you have a turbo or centrifugal style charger then it can make some nice horsepower across the entire rpm range.
We went with the racing intake manifold from JPC, but not for any horsepower gains. We got it for the improved and more even distribution of gases per cylinder under high boost (20+ lbs). This is a problem with the stocker. If not for racing, wouldn't waste my time nor money on any of those other manifolds.

I just installed this along with a BBK TB on my friends 07 and its a real nice piece and the gains are noticeable. We got it custom tuned with our tuner and he is really happy with the product. We havent noticed any flexing on the manifold that some people see on theirs. He just has basic bolt ons like intake/full exh/pullies and it runs smoother
