No it was to you. How did they determine it was a bad alt?

I hope a new alternator does fix the gas hestitating issue. I hate that so much. When I would be at traffic lights and want to take off it'd be stuck than jerk forward. I bought the 40 series flowmaster exhausts and I like to hear it..but it sucks when my car takes its time taking off. I'll know by the end of the week if it works right.

Theres a TSB about it
so its a known issue that some of the alternaters on the 2005+ mustangs were faulty and could cause the cam position sensor to act up

Don't blow your money!!
Start with the simple things first...

If you're above 60K miles, replace your fuel filter, clean your MAF (mass air flow) and replace the air cleaner.
This is all part of maintenance and needs to be done even if your car isn't acting up.
A dirty/clogged air cleaner alone will cause your engine light to come on.

You sound like a girl and dealers love you guys... they see you coming from a long way and always try to scam you.
Be careful out there.

Good luck.

Can't AutoZone or Advance test the alternator for the OP first to see if its ok? I know they checked the one on my '05 for free. I heard they charge now but I don't know that for certain?

OP: where in Florida are you from?
