Default 06 throttle sensitivity?

My son just purchased an 06 GT automatic and after taking it for their first Sunday afternoon cruise, mentioned that the throttle was awfully sensitive...... It was taking some getting used to--more like an off/on switch..lol. Maybe it'll take some time to get used to a V8--their other car is an Edge.

Any other complaints or thoughts on throttle sensitivity?

Thanks!

Must have been tuned before he bought it. The stock throttle sensitivity on the 3v sucks, lol. Then again, what was his last car? If he went from a corolla to a Mustang GT, it might seem like the throttle is a bit sensitive.

Bama Race tune (American Muscle Tune) for the auto tranny is Very much like an on/off switch for the automatic. I don't run the Race tune for my car for this specific reason.

I'm guessing the car has an aftermarket Air Intake? If it does then it's 100% the tune is to blame.

I have a 05 gt and had a similar problem. I took it in and found out it was the throttle body ausing the issue. So you might wanna get that checked. Then again it might be nothing.

Are there any apparent mods? IF it has a CAI, then it's probably 90% odds that it has an aftermarket tune. There's a throttle recalibration procedure listed in the Owners Manual. I'd try that first.
