The possibilities in what you can do with the 4.6L S197 models far outweigh the possibilities that the newer 11-12 Coyote Mustangs have. They have a LOT you can do to them. They are fun and they aren't as expensive to the point you worry where you drive or where you park. S197 4.6L are awesome. I probably love them and 2012s the best. Hard to pick between them because the rear of the 05-09 are beautiful in my opinion. With 2013 coming out you should be able to work down the prices on them with the dealer.

I bought my 05 GT fully loaded almost 4 years ago for 21k and it had 20k on it, so ya those prices are very high. I don't see why you couldn't find one right around 18k in good condition with low miles.

Also keep in mind while there aren't many differences, the 08's and 09's with low miles go for a good amount more than an 05 or 06 with low miles. Just something I've noticed, at least in my area.

Well dang I guess I got royally screwed. I paid $24 for my 09 with 29K on it about 6 months ago.

I did look at about 5 of them and they were all in the same price range though. Almost picked up an 08 Blue Angel edition with 5000k miles on it but It didn't feel right on the test drive and the dealer was a jerk, it was $24k too.

Pricing is really regional.

Built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of U.S. Navy aviation, the Blue Angels Mustang features a blue chrome paint job from Creations n’ Chrome along with hand-painted graphics. The car also features numerous Ford Racing performance upgrades including a supercharger system, Brembo brakes with cooling ducts, handling pack and an FRPP exhaust system. The interior follows a Blue Angels theme as well with custom Recaro seats, gauges, floor mats and a rear seat delete.
The Blue Angels edition sold at a charity auction for $400,000 last year.

Was there a Blue Angels edition S197 Mustang in 2008 with similar FRPP pieces?

I can't do it from from my phone but if you search blue angel on this forum you will find a picture of an early S197 that was on ebay that was blue angel inspired. It had blue angels embroidered in the seats, vista blue paint, paint matched plenum cover, racer boy spoiler and CS wheels. Maybe I should have bought it. Seems like it was supposedly a one off from Shinoda.

Found a pic of it.

Except the one I looked at did not have the stripes on it anymore.

I know, but I got mine 44 months ago, almost 4 years, so 09's were just coming out. So the comparison from when I bought mine would be the same, 3-4 model years old with low miles.
