Default More Money Than Brains?

Let me pre-empt this thread by stating I really haven't searched, I haven't really been on this forum in years, and I don't want to get in to a discussion if my car is really a Roush or not due to it not being serialized. That being said....

Bullet points:

Car is paid off.
It's a 2007 GT with a non serialized Roush package, 5spd, completely loaded, owned since new, 18k miles.
It spends most of the time in the garage until I want to take it out to have "fun".
I know, as usual, it is "up to me and what I want".
I have had a 2 year old since I bought it with another on the way, and am looking at getting a brand new loaded Dodge Charger as a daddy-mobile in to addition to below.

The question is, do I add a Roush charger to bring it up to 550 flywheel hp or trade it in for something like a Boss 302 or a GT500. The second point of that is will the block / internals hold that hp or will I constantly be afraid that I decided to really lay in to it I'll leave parts all down the highway. It will be 7 grand for the supercharger but a huge loss to change to another complete car. I am including the link to the supercharge below. Please do not flame, do not pick on the Dodge Charger (you'll understand if/when you have kids), do not pass go, do not collect $200, but do appreciate my thanks for your input.

THANKS! - James.

People have seen around 500 to the wheels for a few years before the engine popped, but I'd be comfortable at 400-450 to the wheels. With a good tune there shouldn't be problems at that power level, just don't be surprised if you need to do the clutch too.

The smart money says to supercharge it and even if you have to throw a built block under it, you'd still be way ahead compared to buying a new car. You'll lose the cost of a forged short block when you drive that boss of the lot! So your $40,000 boss will be worth $20k when it's paid off, if you are lucky or you could spend 7k and have more power in your roush. Add another $4k for a forged short block and the sky is the limit.

I wouldn't limit myself to a roush charger, just because you have a roush body kit on the car. $7k buys a lot of nice blowers.

You obviously have the money. Now work on the brains. The rest falls into place. Congrats on the soon-to-be 2nd rug rat.

TVS is an amazing blower but man is that thing powerful..........kinda scary on stock internals. If you dont plan to build up the internals then consider an m90 since you like Roush. Yeah its not 500 HP, but its plenty on the street.
Nothing wrong with a charger for the family. I love my srt/10.

Start a college fund for the kids with the money you will really waste on a fleeting high of more performance. I KNOW this.

Don't forget driveline if you up it. There were a few whipples that were over 500 and the clutch was gone. That may have been the guys driving though
