Default X Pipe Install, what do I need to know?

Picked up a pypes x pipe and a pair of fo mo co cats and want to install today. I'm going to gut the cats and run the original stock mufflers, for now. Any tips or tricks I should know to make this go smoothly? Special tools? What should I do first? It's just me and a my dog (shepard/mastiff) in my driveway and I'll like to be done before dark.

I will be getting a tune after as well, I know I'll need it.

You'll be fine. Its simple unbolt and rebolt.

Long extension, universal, deep well socket, and a wrench for the O2 sensors. Can be a pain the first time but it's pretty easy once you can see what you're doing. I've done it so many times for an inspection that I can get mine swapped out for the stock pipe in 20 minutes lol.

I got derailed yesterday due to weather, a 3 year old and I realized I don't have a large enough open end wrench for the o2 sensor............back at it in about an hour!

How did you do the O2 sensors? Unclip or remove before taking out stock pipe and let them hang?

I'm done. Tail pipe tips still out about an inch further, which I can live with. Not really a big difference in sound, bit more aggressive. Once I get the mufflers installed I'm sure I'll get that deep sound I'm looking for.

BTW - Using a universal with a long extension blindly is like sex back in high school, you're never really sure if you're in there, when you are you keep slipping out and you're surprised when you get your nut so quickly.

As long as the O2 sensors are back where they belong, no tune required. Otherwise, you'll need a new tune to turn them off.
