My car is a daily driver, and I don't want to lose my top end completely. I also want to have a first gear. So I almost feel like it is between 3.55 or 3.73. I usually drive in town and highway; I don't get much interstate driving.

I got 4.10s for my 7 day a week dd. I regret it. I wish I got 4.30s. Don't fear the gear. I didn't notice a fuel mileage drop city or highway. First gear is also not useless, I use it everyday. Cars a freakin rocket in first. Have traction problems? upgrade your suspension. My opinion go big or go home. It's not worth swapping gears if your not making a big jump. Hell I even have a t45 and I'm fine with it. I plan on getting a 3650 with the .62 of gear and it will drop the rpm back down a bit. Oh and get the cobra clutch packs too, they're awesome.

You talking about speed? My car has 4.10s with the usual basic mods... intake/exhaust/tune and it will go as fast as it did with the 3.31s, plenty fast enough to be dangerous.

Mine came with 3.55, i changed to 3.73 and then changed to 4.10. Good choice for me. Mostly city driving..

If you want to go fast (top speed) go 4.10's

If you want it quick (acceleration) go 3.73's

I'd like to point out that 4.10 gears in our 5-speeds (and with my 20" tires) at 6,250 rpms is over 180mph. How often are you going to hit that top end? Also how many can hit that?

BTW higher gears give you faster acceleration, not lower. 3.73's in my car would gear out at 200mph.
