DTMR, 3.90/3.93's would be my vote but now that I have 4.10's (now that I know I have 4.10) I say get them. No drivability issues and I get great gas mileage for an 05 4.6L

Did you lose some of your top end with the 4.10s? I am on the fence with 3.73.

I have 4.10s. Are you talking about running out of gear? Because you really don't have to worry about that unless you plan on going 160+.

With a manual 4.10's are a perfect gear. If you do a lot of 1/4 mile stuff then go 4.30's. In an automatic 5R55 the 3.73's are about perfect. Some guys go 4.10's with the auto but with the gearing in the auto 2nd gear almost doesn't exist with 4.10's. At WOT you will only be in second gear for about 1 second. I had 3.73's in mine and went back to 3.27's with my turbos.

I don't see how anyone can say this when all I read about is guys starting out in 2nd gear all the time...but hey idk about that, I have an auto and the 3.73 is a great gear combo with a lightly modified s197 (330hp).
If I was gonna s/c and take her to 400+hp, I would drop it down to 3.55.
The biggest factor in proper gearing is seldom mentioned....available or planned HP.
If perfect gearing were an algabra equation, it would look something like this:

(HP+Grip) x Gear = Fast car

All 3 variables must be taken in consideration to achieve "perfect gearing" imo.

ps...retfr8 I love your ride! Now that's TUFF

I have 4.10 and I start in 1st gear 99% of the time. Sometimes I start from 2nd or 3rd just because I can
