Default safe jack points

The other day, I did the brakes on my friends car and he jacked it up by the subframe from the front of the car, I was wondering, besides the pinch welds, where is a safe place we can lift our cars or place a jackstand when working on it? Any bad experiences?

For the front I sometimes use the mounting area of the lower control arm to the subrame. (like for doing the fuel filter)

For the rear, pinch welds.
