So gears before throttle body? I've heard of the BBK throttle body screwing up alot of crap with the 05-09 stangs.
Gears are the best. I have 4.10's and love them. Also, wouldn't higher ratios get you in the power band better for city driving anyways? I currently have a full off road exhaust and 4.10's and still manage 25mpg highway. I don't look at city because my commute is 4 or so blocks...

I agree with everybody in here. I would definitely recommend going with a set of Gears next. If it's stick and you do a lot of city driving then I would probably go with 3.73's as well! I went 3.73's in my 2011 GT and I have no complaints at all, it's definitely the most beneficial mod for the butt dyno that I've done thus far.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future.

My car is an automatic. I wanted a stick but couldn't pass up the deal I got on it... Going with 4.10's makes me nervous so I prolly will go with the 3.73's

It is possible for me to but I have never run a full tank on highway alone. I have hand calculated mileage between full tank fill ups though. Before I did my exhaust, I was getting 26-27mpg highway going to class, 45 miles one way.

Don't bother with a throttle body! Waste of money! Gears and exhaust for sound is what I would do next

I currently have the JBA cat back exhaust. It sounds good but for the exhaust sound I want it would for sure void my warranty with the off road X pipe so I'm gonna refrain from that now.....

Gears are definitely gonna be my next mod. Probably 3.73's

3.73's it is then...

So what is a fair price to have them installed at a shop? I'd prolly take it to pep boys or something. I live in augusta, ga and I'm not too sure of any of the locally owned shops around here. Alot of them have ridiculous hourly labor.

Also with this kit that I provided the link will I need anything else "options" wise for the install to make it the best possible? Is this the best kit I could buy 3.73 wise?
