I'm using E3

though as you have an 08 you might not have the HT plugs, thus might not have to worry

Of your coil packs a re brown then you don't have the 2 piece motocraft plugs. If they are black then you do from the factory ( assuming they are the origional plugs) I used the oem motocraft when I changed mine.

Unless you're blown, HT Autolites seem to be the best replacement. E3's are needlessly expensive and I have read reports of problems on some cars.

Really? What sorts of problems? I was leaning towards the E3 when I get around to doing mine.

I've read dozens of cases where E3's caused misfires and weak sparks. Don't know the cause, only that replacing them with cheapo plugs solved the issues nearly every time. They use to cost more, not sure about now, never considered them after problems surfaced.

Gimmick spark plugs have been around for decades. Not any one brand, but several that come and go. Their success seems to be tied directly to advertising dollars and not performance.

Given the current levels of emissions regulations and Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards, manufacturers would install any plug that really increased power, economy or induced a more complete fuel burn to lessen emissions. They don't

I feel sad whenever I see Stacey David pitching E3s.

NGK has some spark plug tech videos here:
