Default mysterious holes?

09 gt and noticed these two holes on both sides of the car, underneath. they are threaded and if you pull the carpet from the rear back seats you can actually see light through the holes meaning that moisture etc can get into the car. what are these holes for?

Can you take a picture from further away - up close like that I don't think anyone has any idea where it is located on the car.

I have a threaded hole right in front of the rear tires, but they look small compared to your pic.

Do you have the little "mud flap" like things in front of the tires? The Mustang has small winglets in front of the rear tires so that may be where they were bolted to your car.

Are you talking about the gas tank protector? I assume that's what that rubber flap is for under the car on both sides. It's right in front of the gas tank and the tank hangs down low enough there to get hit by road debris.

That would account for one of the holes, but the rear most threaded hole is there on my car.

is it possible that they are drain plugs? Do you have a convertible?
