4.10+ gears?
#11
I want to launch really hard just right now when I launch the car bogs way down then starts to move. Its almost like it LAGs out or something I have been told thats because the stock t/q converter has to low of a stall so I am not launching in the power band. I plan to upgrade that soon as well but I have decided to do gears first. When I am racing I run drag radials so I am sure the tires can handle it and I am also looking in to upgrading the suspension so that should be ok to. I guess I am not sure what you mean by roll racing?

Your kind of caught in the middle, application wise that is. I had a 3.73 with my auto and loved it for a DD, but always felt like a 4.10 would yield better times at the track. Another thing to keep in mind...a/t 1st gear ratio is lower than a manual. The same diff gear will yield more torque with an a/t in other words.
A good combo that I see guys running is a 4.10 gear with a oversized rear tire, like a 305/45/18 DR for the track and a 295/45/18 for the street. The larger tire in the rear will bring the effective gearing down from 4.10 into the 3.90 range. Hope this helps
