And im reading the temps through the "torque" app for the android. Plugs into the obd 2 port and connects through bluetooth. Only reason i got the app was because i know the stepper motors for our gauges have been known to go out.
Well just know that the coolant temp it's reading is a guesstimate based off the head temp sensor
how do you set the fan turn On point, have a 2005 mustang 4.0l v6 that's overheats
You need a tuner to change the fan turn on points. This has nothing
to do with over-heating fixes.
If you are over-heating, and you think it's fan related, turn the A/C on, and the fan
should come on. Plus, you can hear these fans running... If your fan is on,
and still overheating, then t-stat or pump, and sometimes an air pocket. Heater
core is on a bypass, so even if it clogged, you still have coolant running
through the motor.
