Default 09 sluggish and lagging on acceleration

Here's the story, I went to change my air filter in my CAI to an AMSOIL and while I was swapping filters, we were sanding and trimming some rubber in the shop. Some of the rubber dust got inside the filter while it was on the bench. I blasted it with air before installing. Drove about 10 miles then the car just bogged down, give it gas and it just went down on R's. I got it back and immediately removed that filter and installed the old one, and cleaned the MAF sensor with electronics cleaner. It runs ok, seems to idle ok but doesn't have much power. Punch it in 2nd or 3rd and it hangs, then slowly rises. It just doesn't have a snappy response. What else could be dirty/damaged? The car only has 30K miles and happened because of this filter I'm sure. Also disconnected the battery and same thing. No check engine light at all. Thanks!

Seems strange to say the least but I would clean the throttlebody and change the fuel filter (since you're at 30,000 miles). Seems strange that the filter would cause this but, if it is reusable, use a recharge kit and clean it and then re install. While siting out in the shop, you may have gotten 5 years worth of dust and pollen in it...

Did the TB, fuel rail pressure sensor and wiped down the gasket. Then reinstalled the old filter and now it's better but still hesitates. I tried disconnecting the battery for 30 min and relearn idle. It's not bad, but definitely there. Not snappy like it was.

Still laggy, punch the gas and it just sits. I gotta put it to the floor and it lags for what feels like a second or two. Ordered a TPS, some have said I'm down on fuel pressure.

How long was the battery disconnected? Try it for 30 minutes, which will erase the Adaptive Learning. Adaptive Learning will tend to reduce performance for the sake of economy. I do this about once or twice a year. Also, during the relearning (which could take 20-50 miles) the car may run a bit rough while it re-adapts.

Did a 30 minute, then again for overnight. No change. Still lagging. Drove 50+ miles and it's still hesitating/fighting me when I get on it.

Whose tunes are you running? Have you tried reloading the tune?

Check your IMRC (intake manifold runner control). It sounds like your plates could be stuck open.
