Dumb question about SLP LM1

Red face Dumb question about SLP LM1

Hi guys, i have just received my SLP LM1 but havent installed them yet, i took my stock mufflers off and i got o/r H-pipe.. so basically i turned my car on and holy Shi!t it was loud as FUKKKKK... my question is if i put the SLP is it gonna be a bit quieter or it wont make a difference and should i consider another muffler or cats ??

It'll make a negligible difference at best...Loudmouths are designed to sound good with the stock cats, but they're essentially just a resonated tip.

You should either get a true muffler or go to a catted pipe. I think slps are a waste its basically straight pipe. If you like the sound without the muffler just have a shop make some tips/pipes out the back and return the slps.

If you have an off road set up, do not use SLP Loud Mouths, MAC BoomTubes, or Pypes Pype Bombs. They sound amazing on a stock exhaust car but are way too loud and drone city without cats.

should i go for Catted X or Catted H ?? i want an aggressive tone with the SLPs and something that pops on decl

Be forewarned, even with high flow cats they will be loud.

Anyway, you might listen on youtube. X pipe is higher pitched, H pipe is more bass-y and sounds more like a muscle car. I personally prefer the sound of the H pipe.
