no noise when I turn the key. And I haven't been able to attempt the jump yet, been dealing with the end of the school year stuff.
Also the battery has been fine, didn't start the car for about a week, turned right on (this was about 2 1/2 weeks ago). This time, wasn't turned on for roughly 24hrs and nothing, not even an attempt to turn the engine.

Sometimes your car will do a sort've engine check, especially is you unplugged the battery recently. My best suggestion would be to check the battery terminals very very well. I had this problem and after taking my battery terminal on and off several times it fell apart, so it could be internal decay.

Also, sometimes sensors go out for no reason. One time my car wouldn't start for no reason at all after I disconnected and reconnected the battery after 10 minutes. Turns out it was the TPMS sensor. The butterflies were working flawlessly, but Ford's ingenious sensor system fooled my car into thinking it wasn't.

My first battery died the exact same way. One day it was fine, the next day the car wouldn't start. Charge it or jump it like everyone says.

Possibly.....Starter relay solenoid.

They go and boom... nothing from the ignition switch. No clicks no nothing. Battery and alternator can be 100% new.... the solenoid craps out and boom...NADA!

If you can jump the gap from the solenoid to the starter you'll get the thing to start cranking....they make a simple clip on relay bypass tool for testing this.

You'll know then.... definitely the solenoid.

Should be a cheap quickie replace/repair job.

Still...having the battery checked and testing the alternator at the local AutoZone, NAPA, PeP Boys etc etc... would also be in good order.
