Escape Salmon

This problem just started this spring. When I turn the key in get five or six loud knocks from behind my dash and then it goes away. About the same time my AC started to only blow hot. This winter I noticed my heater wasn't blowing out hit but only warm air.

I'm thinking one of the actuators is out but I wanted to get some ideas before I started hacking my dash apart.

2007 4.6 GT with about 93k.

You should really hook up a scanner to your car and see what code it's throwing.

Does the car overheat? i had major issues with my car overheating. The a/c not cooling was always my first symptom.

You should check the fuses according to the diagram in the manual. Most of the fuses are common, so you can remove the windshield heater fuse and replace it with the one you think is defective and see if you still have the issue. If so, just replace the fuse.
