I was putting my 2006 GT away in the fall and noticed that when I disconnected the positive side battery cable was warm, almost hot. Just got it out of storage and reconnected the cable and started it and felt the cable was starting to warm. Car is running fine and the amp gauge is within. Any ideas?

That usually means the connector or post is not clean. Did you clean them both with a battery post brush ?

Thanks for the advice Chromeshadow. In the process of removing the positive side of the cable, I found that the secondary cable was not quite tight enough. About a half a turn solved the problem. Thanks again.
