need help with p0152 code. have inspection soon
So I have inspection soon and I need to get rid of my error code. My mods are cai, bbk shorty headers, hot rod cams, and did have the catless mid pipe and its all tuned on my sct for these mods... so I put my stock exhaust back on and im getting the p0152 code. I had the o2 sensor extensions but I took them off after reading that there usually a problem. Also had a little leak from the end of thr manifold into the mid pipe but I might have fixed that Also. Problem is that the car needs to go through the drive process to reset so I can't check if really fixed or not... but I just realized and might sound dumb but I have to get another tune with the cai, headers, cams, but with the stock exhaust? I can't return it back to stock with the cams in. I don't believe I did this last time but is the tune the problem or think it was the leak or extensions?

The error is telling you there is a problem with the O2 sensor circuit, not a result of the items on the car. This would mean a bad sensor, bad/burned wire, or bad extension.
You should not need to change anything to pass inspection, no need to pull anything off.

Ok so I swapped sensors with a new one. Removed an extension. And now my problem is the drive cycle. I have been doing everything the best I can around here with driving the way they say to reset everything but so far going 80 miles with the different driving that they recommend has not removed my p1000 code. Meaning obd not ready. My question is that if there is still a problem with my p0152 situation would it not allow my car to reset with the drive cycle? I thought that the drive cycle would complete and than my cel would come on repeating the p0152 code if it still exist. But I've read some stuff on here saying that ut will keep my car from resetting? Thanks I really think there should be an easier way to have this drive cycle stuff done.

did you clear the p0152 code with a reader or did you just replace the sensor and are now trying to drive the car to clear itself? the p1000 code will come up anytime anything is changed via a tuner/reader other than just checking codes. some have said it takes 100 or so miles for the ecm to clear the p1000 code. ive also read that its like50/75 on/off starts for a code to clear by itself

I cleared the code with the reader. Put a new o2 sensor in the upstream driver side. But I did this all after I changed my tune back. Im wondering if there's a slight leak from the manifold headers to the mid pipe as that's always the pain for me to line up perfectly. and today after a long freeway drive and than pulling into a parking lot I noticed some stutter in the low rpm and idle which is why im reverting back to a small leak possibility. Which could set off the p0152 correct? And if the leak was there before I changed the tune and sensor than it will stop the drive cycle from completing right? Sound right? Or even possible. Because I've driven over 100 miles and followed the cycle list.

Ok so I had a minute to dig around a little more and found that the o2 sensor harness from the vehicle wiring looked burnt. So I made a splice back behind the burnt wires. Did about 50 miles with some highway and city but still have the p1000 code. And I noticed if sit idle at a stop light for a little bit the motor sounds really rough like its about to clunk out. I have the hot rod cams so it has a loop to it but this sound just seems bad like im driving a junker or something. But than it'll pick back up and seem normal for a while until does it again... this a sign of a leak somewhere also? Everything seems snuggled up clean on the exhaust but just that rough sound and the blap sound makes me believe still getting air out of the manifold to mid pipe joint. This seem logical to anyone? Sorry for all thr repeated nonsense.
