Default Will it happen? Throttle body recall.

I am having some trouble with the throttle body of my 05 GT. The mechanic at my Ford dealer ship they have a LOT of trouble with these from 05-10 and hinted that there should be a recall.
That would be nice.
Anyone know anything about this or am I behind on the news?

Never heard of that...in fact quite the opposite. The throttle body on the GT is better than most aftermarket ones too. The guy either doesn't want to get it working right or trying to sell you a new one.

What makes him/you think there's a problem with it?

What kind of trouble are we talking about?

I for one, have not heard of any known issues with the '05-'10 4.6 TBs.

The problems started with car going into failsafe mode and engine light came on.
The codes say 2104 and 2112.
Same problems this guy had:

This is the first I've heard of issues with the throttle body. Sounds to me like that tech has no clue.

generally all u need to do is clean them I to have never heard of these to be a problem. Aftermarket has a terrible reputation when it comes to Throttle bodies. There will be no recall for it just bc your mechanic said there should be.

But it's not unheard of. The codes point to the throttle body. Also these people have had problems:

I'm not aware of any way of knowing if a company will issue a recall until they announce it. Unless you have a crystal ball, of course.
