Default Data Log/Bama Tune question

I'm presently waiting for an updated tune from the folks at BAMA to hopefully take care of my p0133 and p0153 codes. The question I would like to pose is this. I recorded a data log this past week of my drive from home to work (about 20 minutes worth). I used an app on my iPhone (DashCommand), it saved the log file in vdb format. BTW, great program for monitoring engine performance. If I were to send this log file to BAMA, would that be helpful in fine-tuning the tunes for my car so that the specific characteristics of my engine can actually be seen first hand?

I dont think so. Lund Racing or another tuner that does remote tuning sessions will make use of it, it's mandatory for you to send datalogs if you purchased a remote tune.

With an email tune from Bama it almost seems like an automated system. Fill out the form, get your tunes withint 4 days.. Not very personal from my experience.

I've been pretty happy with BAMA since I've been using their tunes. I think part of the appeal is the fact that you can get tunes for your car via e-mail fairly quickly, as long as the tunes perform as advertised, and for me they have made a big difference in my car. But I'm wondering if sending in a data log for a specific car allows for a "fine tuning" of a given profile. Or is that something that is considered "next level" tuning, which in turn is more expensive?

Absolutely! You can hook Bama up with some Logs on your car and that will help them fine tune your Mustang. We can get very personal with the custom tune from Bama!

Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Hey Dan, thanks for the reply! I spoke with Ryan last week, and he's going to send me an updated tune, and we'll see if that takes care of the problem. He did mention that we may have to go the data log route if the problem returns. I guess, from what I've read about data logs, is that there are very specific PIDs that will be needed for this. I've never dealt with data logs, so excuse my ignorance. Again, thanks for the reply...

Good stuff! Sounds like you're in good hands. Ryan will make sure you're taken care of. If you have any questions related to logging the car just shoot me a PM or hit Ryan up directly!

Hope this helps!
