Default Camshaft codes

Default Camshaft codes
2005 mustang Gt. Barely any mods. I recently replaced all of my timing on the Car about 9000 miles ago. That includes ( valve cover gaskets, timing cover gaskets, timing chain, tensioners, guides, tensioning arm, and phasers.)

The car is now throwing p0345 as well as p0022.

P0022-camshaft position timing-over retarded bank 2

P0345-camshaft position sensor A circuit bank 2

Also is throwing cylinder 1 and cylinder 5 misfire.

Has anybody come across these problems?

Car is running horrible in low RPM. It jolts back at me and has no power. Also car is making a horrible rattling sound during acceleration.

Any help is awesome.

Could be any number of things. Hopefully there is a shop near you that can help.

Broken/damaged cam phaser (common with aftermarket cams), improper install, damaged bearing or journals maybe, just guessing. Only way to know is tear it apart and check. I'm leaning towards the phaser that controls the VCT system being damaged. Some put lock outs in, others put in limiters.

Please let us know what the problem is.

Or it could be your alternator. When they fail they throw that cam cel but that wouldn't explain the horrible noise you have.

did you mark everything when you took it apart? Find TDC on the crank and the cams and see if it lines up, sounds like its off a tooth...or two. would explain the misfires and low power.

Im pretty sure you need a special tool to hold the cams at TDC. also make sure your not 180* out

if you don't know what any of that means, Take it to a reputable shop!
