Exedy Mach 500 Stage 3 Clutch
#13
It's been so long since I had the stock clutch so it's hard to say. But from all of my friends that had the Mcleod RST, no one complained about the pressure. The majority of them had gone from another aftermarket clutch to the Mcleod after having problems. So when they got an aftermarket clutch that had stock type manners, they were all delighted.
I had an RPS single disc before the Mcleod, and it was brutal.
I have driven the same clutch in different S197s and noticed that they vary slightly in pressure and engagement.

I've also got the Mach500. It was a little much when I first put it on the car; I needed a TOB (mine was shot) and knew I was going FI soon, so I installed the 500 prior to the s/c install. Like CPTCO said, it chattered for 50-100 miles or so after break in, it used to buck like it's cool with light throttle in a low-speed condition, however now it's almost perfect.
Only slightly heavier than stock in my opinion, but I drove my friend's Stage 2 roush and not sure if they have OEM or just a really light aftermarket clutch, but their pedal feel was like a feather.
I love this clutch and more than likely will buy the same one to replace mine.
I used an exedy steel flywheel with my install in lieu of resurfacing the old FW
