To fix the bad ground all you do is clean the surface, make sure the wire is connected properly and put it back together. It should not be expensive.

Not quite a match for this thread, just wanted to throw this in. About a week ago I got the feeling the "start" didn't feel/sound quite as it should. Checked the battery fluids, they looked good, put my Sear's Automatic Charger on it 10 Amps figured it would turn itself off within hour or two. FIVE hours and change later it was still running. Turned it off, looked into cells. I've been tinkering with cars for maybe 40 years. I do not recall ever seeing brown water in side a battery before, all cells, and the level was up a bit to boot!

The new batteries are good for 5 years!? How far up do I fill the ports? They look low but I'm not sure on this car.

I don't have a hood light - now I want one! A short in the fuse box had to be tough to track down. Electrical problems are tough.
