Leaving off idle will net you a faster ET. Loading up the rpms will flash the convertor lower than off idle. More consistant off idle too. Yes TC and OD off at all times. Running the car cold will be 2-3 tenths faster than at full operating temp. If your bracket racing then let it warm up all the way. Stock auto should do low 13.9s@99mph.

She had 3 runs
1. Lights broken
2. 14.6 leaving from idle.
3.14.9 wet track.

I do think 14.0 or 14.1 is her goal

I need to find out what her gears are because it's an export car and they often put taller gears in those but I think they are not.

How much ET is expected gears alone from the 3,3's or whatever is the shortest?

If she can pull a couple 13.9-14,2 runs we'd gear it if she could gain more than a half second. Then maybe intake exhaust and tune for low 13's or is that crazy.

Auto cars have 3.31 gears. A cai and tune will knock off a half second. Going to 4.10s while way more fun on a auto car won't net you a faster ET. What was your mph? What was the weather like? A high DA will really hurt times.

Not sure on DA but hot and wet.
I'd bet 85-86 degrees, 85% humidity, elevation around 1,500ft.

She pulled a .163 reaction
2.41 60ft
14.9 at 93.

Her 14.6 didn't record mph
it was a 2.35 60

She never had a clean run. I also guess the first couple runs are way off for most people.

We really need a clean run to see what it will do. It's always similar weather.

Congrats on having fun with the car!!!
I found that reving up to around 1200 rpm was a good range; higher than 1800 was just worse. Floor it and keep on it to the finish (or until you break loose and start spinning).

A simple mod would be to get a set of drag radials for the rear tires, on some extra rims if you want. That alone should get you close to 14.0.
A gear change will make a noticable difference, too. I really liked 373's with my auto, both on and off the track. You'll pick up a little time there, too.

If the tune is stock, a good performance tune will help as well, as you'll have firmer shifts and can tweak exactly when the shifting occurs when WOT.

Again, glad you're having fun with the car!

Yeah you had crappy air for sure. A cai and tune will give you a half second alone.

Just last month.....My buddies 06GT auto. Stock 13.9@99

After, bama tune, cai, underdrive pulleys, delete plates, and offroad H with DRs, ran 13.06@106. Left off idle.
