Default TPMS Inquiry - 2007 GT Band to Valve Stem type

So, I have a set of rims sitting in my garage and tires on the way, but I am writing to inquire about TPMS.

Now as I understand it the 2007 and up models have TPMS, the 2007-2010 models use a band clamp, where as 2011 and up use the Valve stem transmitter.

My Question, has anyone purchased Valve stem style TPMS units and used them in place of the band clamp tpms on their 07-10 Mustang GTs?

Let me know, and if by chance you have a link, please share it.

Much obliged

Gary

Had the valve stem style sensors installed on my new wheels by Discount Tire. They matched AM's pricing and activated/calibrated the sensors to my car so I didn't have to by the calibration tool. They broke a band removing the old tires from the old rims, and replaced it with a stem unit. Assured me that it would work just fine in conjunction with the other band style sensors, but I have not verified this.

The AM valve stem sensors work fine. I have run them for a few years now in my winter, summer and drag tires.

My 2007 GT came with Pirelli PZero Nero's 234 55 zr17's I got 62,000 miles on them they are now at the tread wear bar. I have two (2) other sets of tires and rims total of 3 sets with the worn out originals. I would like to set up these other sets eight (8) tires to be able to swap them in and out to keep my show rims cleanest. So what I want to do is have 8 pressure sensors in 8 tires that are all set-up for one car. Can this be done or can a 2007 GT recognize only 4 sensors?
I think I have the following choices;
1) Install 8 sensors in 8 tires program 4 at a time reprogram every time I make a swap.
2) use 4 sensors and make a painful sensor swap every time I swap wheels.
3) put all 4 sensors in the spare tire and swap mix and match with ease.

You will have a hard time finding new band style TPMS anymore, you do need to get the valve stem style that works with 2007-2010 as they communicate differently than the 2011-2014.
