I found plenty of videos on the install of the alternator for a V6 or older Mustangs. Maybe I did not search well enough but I could not find one for the 2006 GT 4.6 V8.

So I made one when I replaced my alternator yesterday.

Video not the best because I pieced it together with the iPhone.

Good to know it is fairly easy to change. Did you consider trying to repair the alternator rather than buying a new/recon one?

Yes I did, considering the life time warranty from Advanced Auto I thought it worth just to R&R

Had the same experience with my '06 GT alternator. I went with a PA Performance alternator (lifetime warranty) and the PA Performance wire kit.
Alternator swap on these cars is super easy.
