its a small box that would be mounted in the trunk, hardwired to the fuel pump, has a dial on it. if it is or isn't there I wouldn't worry to much. upgrading the injectors without upgrading the fuel pump doesn't make much sense. my car isn't FI so im hoping someone who is will chime in soon to shed light on the abilities/limitations of the stock fuel pump setup.

HPTuners is DIY tuning software. Sounds like the guy may have hacked up a lousy tune and it is stuck in open loop. The front O2's are not working. Don't run it very much that rich, the converters will burn up. Get a real tune from somewhere for the SCT and load it up.
