Default Alternator power harness part number?

I have an 05 GT. Getting a P3040 code, which everything I've read says means the alternator is going. Went to swap it, but noticed a break in the harness that runs from the positive lead of the battery to the alternator and to one other sensor. Anyone have a part number for this? I see a universal one available on americanmuscle but I can get Ford parts at cost so I was looking to see if I could get a part number so I can get it there.

Thanks.

Hey dtrufan - Just like wog said below your best bet would be to get in touch with your dealer and I would suggest taking the car to them (Write your VIN down before you get in) You'll throw the guy at the desk a curveball because they love to be problematic.

Let me know if there's anything I can help out with and best of luck.

Upgrade to a thicker gauge while you're doing it. 0 ga perhaps.

Are there any premade thicker gauge wiring looms for the s197 GT? I was going to make one for mine but if there are premade options even better.

When I replaced my OE alternator (because of codes), I went with a PA Performance alternator. I also bought their Performance power wire. Haven't had any power issues since. The PA Power wire is a nice piece and easy to install.

I see they have several wire sets, which one did you get?
