Who will be tuning the car? Do not trust an email or canned tune for a turbo kit. Period. If you have a tuner in mind, the best kit you can get is the one they are most familiar with. I have said it many times. TALK TO YOUR TUNER FIRST! Internet advice is nothing compared to what you will get from person tuning the car.
I have heard good things about those guys, just didn't remember their name.
I believe Granatelli does a kit also. My kit was custom by RET.

But definitely figure out who is going to do the tuning and run your thoughts and what you already have past them, they will have useful suggestions on where to proceed.

I'm currently tuned through Brenspeed. So as far as a dyno tune goes I'll have to find someone local as I live in Missouri. I'm gonna definintely consider that kit from the link posted though. Appreciate all the feedback on this thread so far. Kind of wishing I didn't buy that kit now but may be able to recoup some of the money lost and just keep my 47# injectors I got unless another kit requires bigger ones. I work at Ford F-150 plant here in Kansas City with no wife or kids so by next spring I can save up to hopefully get something nicer.

---Small update. Last month I acquired a slightly used MMR small block with manley rods/pistons, ARP hardware, and a windage tray along with stage 3 ported heads, manley springs with turbo cams. Just got an upgraded timing set with metal guides and upgraded tensioners to use for the engine along with, phaser lockouts, gaskets and ARP head studs. I got all this for a good deal and will build this engine on the side. Now as far as the on3 kit goes. I'm about to abandon and contact Turbo Horsepower about a single turbo kit. Main reason, on3 has failed to email back after trying to reach them for extra needed parts. So I'll update and get some pics of the engine once I begin to work on it at my friend's when it warms up.

Time to re name this thread because I just put a deposit on a single turbo kit from Turbo Horsepower. Still going with the MMR short block and keeping the fuel pump and injectors from the on3 kit.

I was going to go with the on3 but they never responded to my emails about other pieces to complete my kit and I just got a bonus at work so it worked in my favor. I'll be updating this page over the spring as things come together.

Brave man, I wish I could build up my engine, but I'm afraid of the reliability issues, the car is, after all, my daily driver.

Well I'm working on it with a friend who's rebuilt plenty of engines OHV and OHC's. I also drive a 5 oh Explorer as well but I think the reward will be worth all the work in the end. It's a great learning experience.

It should be plenty fun, looks like it is coming along nicely. What size turbo are you going with?
