No! It will spin 1st and 2nd. I spin 3rd hard if I shift out of second at redline, but I have 4.10's and the stock 235/55/17's.

How long have you been running it?

I had the 445 HP Roushcharger kit installed on my new 08 GT 5 speed by the Ford dealer who was also a Roush dealer. They quoted 13 hours to do the install and it actually took them 15 (they ate two hours). Another dealer recently told me they do the install in 10 hours.

As it was installed by the dealer the Roush warranty applies to the powertrain. So far, about 6,000 miles, no problems other than one intercooler coolant hose was not routed properly. Fixed at no cost.

The kit includes reflashing the ECU at Roush and it is tuned for 91 octane. In the hot summer days I get some slight pinging on 91 octane.

The car has had 5 road course track days with a total of about 7 or 8 hours on the track. Again no problems, other than getting the power to the gound in low gears or the rain. For track days I try to run only Sunoco 94.

The car was dynoed on a hot rainy day and pulled 371 RWHP. The fellow doing the pull said it was probably down qbout 10 HP due to the temperature.

The suspension mods, listed below, were not done until a few weeks after the car was picked up and driving it with all of that power without the other changes was a little scary. Now that all of the mods are finished it is a blast.

See 6 customers from the same place tells me something.. I know people that live by me and people on my forum.. stock motor, they have whipples, saleens, KB's.. its all in the tune till a certain point.. all of them are 500rwhp+ minus the saleen, he kept it at 455rwhp.. and all of them had it for a long while and race it daily.

I understand once you hit 500rwhp your looking for trouble, but at that point its in the tune, as long as it doesn't go a bit lean you should be fine in theory.. I sure as hell wouldn't go that high, i would only push 450rwhp n be done till its built.

I am actually going with the Saleen Supercharger and keeping it at the 5psi from ford so i can keep warranty, yeah i know some people will think im dumb, but my warranty is 5yr 60k.. and im at 24k so yeah.. imma keep it. Then upgrade to JDM Stage 1.

I put on a ProCharger P1SC HO kit at 3300mi. I am now just over 14000mi. ProCharger tuned my car on their Mustang Dyno in the middle of a Kansas August heat wave. Hit 459 rwhp/384 trq. I have only been to the drag strip twice ( and never before ) best run so far was 12.6 @109 with a 2.009 60ft. The changes have only been a ProCharger, 3" Magnapak, and BBK shorties (stock H-pipe). Everything else is stock. Including the auto trans.

Install took about 13 hrs with plenty of breaks and some pic time. The only special tools needed would be a socket big enough for the crank pully and a soldering gun for some wiring. Just dont expect to do it in the 6 hrs that the ProCharger boys are capable of. Install for 07 and up is easier and less messy since the coolant and p/s systems do not have to be messed with.

Alright, this is pretty dam interesting tread. I'm glad that I ran across it. Anyway, I am running the Whipple HO kit at around 9-10 PSI. Myself and a friend did the install over the course of three days. Yeah, I took my time with the install working on and off on it. I didn't think that install was so bad actually it was pretty straight forward. I initially crimped all of my connections. I didn't like te crimps so I went back through and soldered everything. I'm glad that I did because I found one of th wires near the MAF sensor to be loose. All of my connections are now good to go!

Instead of the GT500 fuel pumps I went with the KB BAP. I guess that this set-up is better than nothing. Later on I'll switch to Twin pumps.

As far as tune, I'm running a VMP tune. I'm have run into a small problem with the tune. truth be told I dont know if its the tune or a sensor. although I never had a sensor issue until the install of the SC. My issue with the tune is that I am not getting an error code. The error code that I am getting is the temp. sensor. From my understanding the coolant temp. sensor helps to control number of different things.
Yesterday while logging data and monitoring pids the coolant temp sensor caught my eye. For whatever reason the cooltemp sensor drops almost to zero then goes back up. Over the weekend I'm gonna try running the coolant temp senor back from the MAF sensor instead of after the blower. Oh, I forgot to mention that I do have the IAT sensor after the blower although its located on the pass. side instead of the driver side.

thats is for now gents as the wife just got home,,I got some honey do's.

My gt is stock except for an SCT tuner with 3 93 octane tunes. I customized the intake and made my own high flow intake, I also customized my mufflers to flow better under high load. With these mods my car runs pretty quick. It gets to 120 easily , and pulls hard at high speeds. I have raced a few dodge boys including an srt-8 and i had no issues walking away. I have also raced a few mustang GTs with more bolt ons than what i have and i had no issues with them either ( i would say the driver made the race in these cases ).

What i am getting at is that my car moves without a supercharger, and i have great fun in it, and i have no fear of seeing a rod fly out of the block. I am not saying my car is as fast as a supercharged mustang by no means is this possible, but you have to factor the fun to drive aspect against the worrying about head gasket or internal failure aspect of our hobby. Take it from a guy that went threw 4 motors in a mustang with a supercharged set up. It got to the point that when ever i would get on it i would cringe and wait for that moment when you hear or see $4000 explode. Any one who has built a motor, spent tons of cash, and time tunning would understand what i am saying. Yes i had a car that made tons of power, sounded sick, ran against sport bikes, and had dyno sheets that resembled mountain peaks, but for the 3 years i had the car I estimate i drove it for a total of a year. That is no way of enjoying your car.

For all you guys reaching for the mountain peaks of horse power heres what i have to say. Enjoy your car, tune it , make power, but know your cars limits. I came into this thread to see what power is attainable with our s197 4.6 3v motors and forced induction thinking of buying a blower, but after reading a bit of the posts i was taken back to a time that i actually resented my car instead of loving it. That said I will explore the N/A road with this stang ( fourth that i have owned ). I would be happy making 360rwhp without any power adders. Nothing against superchargers. Like it was said before, Saleen, and Roush use them, and they warranty them as well. but look at their boost levels....all under 10psi (except for the models with built internals). This is for a reason.

I know i am going to get alot of " its all in the tune man!" and " my car has no problems and i am making 550rwhp!" but i hope my experience will help some of you guys.

One last thing i learned having a dyno queen....What do you do with 600hp??? first gear threw third are useless. The only thing you could do is take your buddy out for a "spin" and show him you can spin the tires at 45 mph . Wow.... Trust me this gets old quick.
