Slowstang 06, any numbers yet??

I have been doing my research and i have come across multiple s197 mustang with typical bolt ons and cams making upward of 360rwhp, which i find very impressive. Even more impressive are the number of s197 mustang out there that are well into the 12s with just bolt ons. I forget what member it is, but he ran a 12.29 @ 109 if i am not mistaken
with out cams. What impresses me the most is the trap speed. 109mph is moving. He also mentioned there was a strong tail wind that day at the track which i am sure did not hurt either.

Again bolting on a blower will take you into the 12s easilly, but i think its nice to run just as fast with a N/A set up. The motor i believe is happier without the added pressure of boost, meaning less strees on internals, head gaskets, and fuel system.

i run a paxton on my wifes 05. We have had some trouble with the seals in the blower itself. When they fail, it dumps oil in the intercooler and eventually the intake. When it did it the first time, it had detonated pretty bad, and i decided to install a new motor with a forged bottom end. The engine will take a ton of power, but the convertor starts slippin at around 475 rwhp

Default 07 Supercharger questions

Sorry for the mistake if this is the wrong thread to post this question. I did enter the search with the above question, but all that came up was this thread.
I have a 2007 Mustang GT Premium, running 4:10 gears, Saleen Supercharger plus 475hp upgrade kit, SCT tuner with Brenspeed tune. I did have it on the dyno where they also fine tuned the tune from Brenspeed. It turned our 409 rwhp and 6 lbs of boost. It is an automatic transmission, and I am running NITTO 555 485/40/18 - rear, and 455/45/18 - front. I am running 91 octane. It is all we can get here in my area.
My question to you all is:
At the track we ran twice and the times at the 1/4 mile track were - 12.5 at 105mph, and 12.2 at 108mph. We don't get much to the track due to our nearest track being over 100 miles from our home. I suppose we could get better times with more practice, but my question is: Are these times in the acceptable range for the car and equipment?

I have read other threads on this forum and other forums, and have seen time much lower than these with cars running pretty close to the same setup as my car. Any help you can give me towards times and my setup would be greatly appreciated. Should I be running much better times?

Thank you,
Keith (Casper)

Default A/F Wide Band O2 sensor and gauges for Superchargers

I have a 2007 mustang GT convertible and I am going to be installing a centrifugal supercharger system next week. I now have all of my friends and their brother giving me advice, but not of them own SC cars or mustangs. I was told that besides a boost and oil temp gauge, I need an A/F ratio gauge and need to purchase a wide band O2 sensor and system $500. I was told that if an injector stops functioning and the motor leans out with the SC, it will burn valves and destroy the motor. Can't I get the reading from the stock O2 sensor. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

No, you have to have another bung welded in and use the Bosche sensor that comes with the Wideband AF.. You can find the gauge with the sensor, cable, and bung for about $250 all over the place.. I just got mine for $230 from a friend that owns a shop.. and he is welding the bung for free.

Default Rotrex Installed

Completed the installation of the Rotrex system last night and will be installing the custom tune tonight. I feel like a kid in a candy store. Price was very nice, kit was complete, installation was good, and the customer service from Heath at Mountain performeance was excellent. Will follow up more tomorrow. Anyone know of a trusted dyno shop in the SE wisconisn or Northern Illinois area. I live in racine. If interested, here is Mountain perfromance's contact information.

I'll be at West Bend Dyno next Wednesday at 3 pm to have my Rotrex baselined and tuned. I've used them before and they do good work. It's been about six weeks since I put the FAP system on and I have not been able to get down there till now.
