i am confused too about the right fluid..

here in Italy it's quite easy to have Royal Purple products (plus we build cnc machinery and RP also supply oil for them), but for our TR3650 manual transmission (mine is a 2010 gt) it seems i can use both the synchromax or a 75W-90 max gear from Royal Purple.

i don't get the difference between these two product, except from that in technical sheets synchromax is more correct for automatic transmission, but it looks like many of you use this in manual transmission. so what's your advice? i want to gain smoothness in changing gears, so i'm looking for changing the fluid.

thanks!

I just changed my manual tranny fluid today. Car only has 22K on it and the old fluid pretty much looked new. Changed it with Mobile 1 ATF. I put in 3 and some change to try and make 3.2 quarts.

My question is how do I check to make sure I have enough fluid in it and what are the symptoms of low fluid level in a manual?

Hey guys, pulled the engine out of my 08 GT for some upgrades. While its removed im going to change the clutch, but i have a question regarding the slave. Do i need to remove the tranny? It seems pretty accessable as it sits so it seems that i can just cap the line, pull the slave, bleed the new slave, and install. My question is will it be this simple and will i be able to bleed the clutch with the engine removed. Like pump the pedal and all that? May seem like a stupid question but i was told not to depress the clutch while the engine was removed. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

I have an 07 GT auto. I installed my own dipstick. Google 'Ratstang' and look at his web site. I did something very similar and I like having it.

http://www.ratstangrestoration.com/5r55s-dipstick.htm

On his web site he also says that the Bands can be adjusted. Has anyone done that to their auto? Is it worth it to do that? My tranny is working fine, but if I can adjust something that should be done occasionally to compensate for wear, I'll do it.

Default 07 GT, 5 speed Hurst short throw, 410 gears

Hello everyone, I hope this is the proper forum for this question. I've been driving manual trans cars for over 30 years and always thought I was good at it until now. I thought with the short throw shifter and 410 gears I'd be hanging through the gears but it's not happening. I don't know if it's the hydrologic clutch or what but it seems I have to have the clutch to the floor to shift. This isn't a problem during normal driving but if I'm trying to get on it is just embarrassing. Having trouble running through the gears when under power. Is it getting to know this clutch, operator error or common problem? Thanks Z
