Default long tubes and cats

I want to install longtube headers.

Question is this: Can I just run the longtubes, with highflow cats with o2 sensors installed without throwing a code?

Or, can I delete the cats without throwing a code.

Also, I see a lot of guys that delete just the rear o2 sensors, why not delete them all?

Do I need to tune the car either way I go?

You're supposed to be able to run LT's without throwing a code. But a lot of people are throwing codes immediately or eventually anyway. I just started a code for a front sensor - I haven't figured out why yet. It could be an exhaust leak. When you remove your whole exhaust system and put it back together again, its pretty easy to have a leak.

Anyway, if I did it over again, I'd get Kooks headers. Kooks are a mid-length tube. The hp gain is similar to long-tubes, but because they are mid-length, the O2 sensors on them are closer to the stock O2 positions and they are a hell of a lot more friendly about not throwing codes.

You will need a tune for any headers except shorty headers.

Greetings. I recently purchased an 07’ GT with a Saleen Supercharger. I am looking at getting a full exhaust system, but don’t have the $$ at the moment. I really want to improve the sound right off the bat and then add longtubes, x-pipe, high flow cat’s etc.

I wanted to ask what would be the best axle or cat back’s to get? Knowing that I will eventually add on the rest of the package. I’m going for performance rather than just sound. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Kaichele, I have MBRP's on there right now, I don't have an updated clip but all i can say is they're a much underated axleback. I got mine used off of Fleabay for $180, 304 stainless and they have an incredibly deep tone. Almost no drone with my LT and Prochamber.

Here is a clip of my MBRP with shorty headers and MRT Catted H

I'll take another one soon with my Comp Thumpr's, MAC LT's & catted Prochamber...........They're a good pick for the $$$
