I installed the GTA's today. The tips are bigger than stock and are much closer to the plastic.

Does this look right?

Thanks. I was worried that the muffler would heat and burn the plastic.

I owned a 2006 mustang gt with the borla stinger cat-back exhaust. It had a nice throaty sound but had a loud drone at 2000rpm. I now own a 2009 mustang gt and had a magnaflow oval shaped axle back put on. For a daily driver, I like this exhaust better. It has a mellower sound, yet deep and throaty, plus no annoying drone. For a pleasure only vehicle, the Borla's are great. If you like a muscular, yet more civil sound, you can't go wrong with the magnaflow oval shaper mufflers.

Here are a couple of videos of my car with JBA ceramic shorty headers and Corsa sport axle-backs. Enjoy.

Default Need exhaust advice

I just purchased an SC for my 07 GT convertible. Now I need exhaust. I had a set up pypes before but the resonance(droning) was so bad I went back to the originals. I am looking for the quietest on the market, nor droning, but also allows better flow than stock. And ideas. THanks

Just put on Borla stingers on my ride yesterday (exhaust only)...love the sound. I first heard these on another mustang and had to pull up to the driver and ask what he had cuz it sounded so good.

If you're looking for crazy loud, then these are not the ones you want. These are more a deep rumble that can sound very menacing. In spite of what some others have mentioned on here, I haven't noticed any drone at all, especially at the freeway.
