Blown Head Gasket

Blown Head Gasket
Blown Head Gasket on my '92 4 cylinder.
Need Help.
New here to posting.
Been lurking here for a couple of years.
I have never done this before. I know a shop will do it for about $1,000.
How easy, how hard is it to do it myself?
I have done little things to my car over the years.I never had a problem this bad.
Please help.

I don't have a write up, but I have loads of pictures.
It's easy to do, remove coolant from the system, take the intake and exhaust manifold off.
Take the 8 head bolts out and lift the head straight off (a little more than that but it's just small things.
The cylinder head weighs 75lbs at least, and if you have no strength (I lifted mine with intake, exhaust manifold, cam, and everything installed on my own... weighed about 150-200lbs) then use a hoist or have a buddy come over and help
Edit : this is what your engine block should look like without the cylinder head, you'll wanna scrap all the old gasket off

Hi,
When you put the head back on, try to make sure that you torque the head bolts down to the correct specs as well as working from the middle outwards.
A Haynes manual might help with this
Good Luck and just take your time. Any questions, just ask here.
