That is where I thought mine was. Turned out bad piston etc. My noise is is similiar? Everyone said in top end.

No mine doesnt have a turbo and it doesnt sound that bad. No offense

In the cylinder head, but do a compression test to confirm what I told you just to make sure.

It could be the pistons hitting the spark plugs, make sure you have the right ones...
