Default Engine sounds horrible

I dunno whether it is bcuz of old age of the engine or something is wrong with it. My car is a 93lx n it has about 88000 or 188000 miles on it (I cant tell). Does nebody else have that klunk, klunk, klunk sound to there engine bcuz it sounds horrible while I'm drivin? And if so wat did u do to solve the problem?

klunk isn't very descriptive.

Where in the engine is the sound coming from? top, bottom?

I would guess if its coming from the top it's HLAs

if coming from the bottom, time for a rebuild

If the plugs are worn out then yes, or else I would guess bad HLA or a worn cam

Tell your teacher to go back to school.

These engines run smooth because they are balanced unlike alot of the imports.

The resonator would be making the sound 24/7

Also please type your words out full, I can understand you fine but we do have older members on this forum that might not find it so easy to read

Ok thanks for the tip. So the problem is the resonator or something else?
