Default Hi! New Member w/an '84 'Stang!

Hi! I've got an '84 ("fox body") that came with a 302 and 5 speed.
I was talking with someone, and they told me they thought it was a 4-cylinder car. It has power steering, cruise control, electric windows, all that cool stuff-
So I guess my first question is, how can you tell if it was a 4-cyl. car or not??
The motor was a "swap in" from an '85 (which was thankfully carb'ed), but besides checking the VIN, is there a way to tell?

Thanks!

I guess pictures are nice;
I plan on pulling off the body kit and lowering it some more.

Well...I would look at it and see if it looks like a V8 or an I4. The V8 will fill the engine bay, and you could probably stand in front of the I4...while its still in the car lol.

Hahahaha! Yes, I'm trying to figure out if it WAS a 4 cylinder;
I would be .... just plain silly if I didn't know otherwise-

Also, does anyone sell custom grills/bumpers for these mustangs?
I'm not real keen on how that front-end looks....

That makes so much more sense then lol. But I have seen/heard questions that dumb at times so....

I believe that a GT would have a code of something like:
1FABP28Mx1984Fxxxxxx

A 4 banger:
1FABP28Ax1984xxxxxx

Something fairly close to that. The key is the M and the A. This is the engine code as to what came in the car. Google is your friend

*EDIT*
The front ends of the cars are basically interchangeable throughout the Fox body years. So if you like one of the others better you can swap it on. And I agree, that is my least favorite Fox front end with the grill...

I'm pretty sure that there are M code 4 cylinder cars, since my vin is 1FACP40M5PF132350, and according to vin decoder, it's a 4 cylinder.

Go to this website for a vin decoder with engine size etc.
