Default Hey guys

Hey guys, I haven't been on since i fried my motor back in july but figured it was time for an update. completely rebuilt engine, .40 over wiseco dished pistons, reconditioned rods, windage tray, all new components, total seal rings, .40 cometic head gasket, decked head, more porting on the exhaust lip on top of the previous port and polish job. new stainless manley valves, 1.85 intake and 1.59 exhaust respectively, new bronze guides, same modern performance cam, .505 lift .221 duration. all balanced, 8.5:1 comp. intake and accesories powdercoated black, new spal electric fan, autometer oil pressure and water temp gauges, rewired harness, new stinger turbo drain, also Spec Stage 3 clutch, t-5 trans with the s10 tailhousing swap, b&m sport shifter, explorer rear, trac-lok, 3.73's, 31 spline, disc brakes.
plus I bought FR500 wheels in anthracite.

Long list, but hey i had six months. So i'm breaking it in, just hit 500 miles. keepin it at ten pounds for now. At a thousand ill be throwing it back on the dyno at work. Boost controller and a new exhaust coming damn soon. Cherrybomb is getting annoying. That about sums it up, I'm going to Epping when it opens in April and then down to Carlisle in June, hope to c some of u guys there. Lookin for about 300-325hp out of this setup at like 22psi, the T3 is gonna be tapped out but i dont have the money for a bigger turbo right now.

Couple questions for you.

What kind of effort does the Spec 3 clutch take? I have read that it makes for a pretty heavy clutch for DD uses.

Got the wheels mounted? I would like to see some pics. I was considering those for the SVO, but the SVO suspension makes having them fit right pretty tough without some major changes.

Awsome news. Just got mine back together and driving since October. Love to find out and see how the FR500 wheels work out. They are top of my list for the Vert project. Thanks

remember guys this is all on a ranger, haha anyways the stage 3 is fine for street driving. It engages hard like you would expect from a kevlar puck clutch. but you can slip it and as long as you let it break in its fine. The only times i've had difficulty with it is getting in after driving like a stock clutch, or on hills of course. But I love it and its in my daily driver. The FR500's are ridiculously awesome. hahah ill get you some pictures tmrw.
