Today (my only day off in 4 weeks) I got the engine out of "No Hands".
It went fairly smooth, only ripped my fuel line, but it was on the iffy side to start with.
Engine is out and sitting on a stand right now, waiting for me to rip it down and take it to the machine shop.
So the plans for tonight
Rip the engine down and check ware. If the bores need to be bored out the engine is getting some VERY NICE! goodies! if it needs a hone then I'm going to throw in some crower rods, ARP bolts, and some polishing i the intake/exhaust.
If you have dial up, don;t look at this thread later tonight :P

After much thought and being tired of fighting the issues of the 2.3T, I've decided to go down a different road...
I bought a 1981 Grand Marquis with a 351W and a AOD transmission, around 116000kms on the whole engine and transmission, 2 owner car, fully loaded, and transmission shifts GREAT!
Anyways here are some pictures... also the price was a steal... $300
My plans are some aluminum heads, big .500+ lift cam, 750CFM holly carb, and a air gap intake... We shall see how far it goes :P hopping for 400+RWHP
I'm still going 2.3T, got a lead on a 87 notch with no rust for $500 :P

This is possibly one of the best engine breakdown threads i've seen. Good job. I myself am still having issues with my 89 2.3 turbo stang. Smokes like a whore(rings are done i think, low compression) and doesn't spool very quickly. I'll probably be taking mine apart real soon like you.
